Kubala's Art
Skip straight to the graphics. Note that for now, they are a part of the Antimatter site, so the navigation system will be different. Use your browser's "back" button to return to this page when you are done. My skill in art is moderate at best, but I use technology to compensate. I would guess that it came from my dad, who used to do fine woodworking and painting. Mostly I inherited a sense of style and balance, but not much technical skill. So, how do I turn out cool artwork, you may ask? It's all in the software. I use Adobe Photoshop for everything at some point in the process. It may be expensive, but there's a reason: it's the best. There are some things that simply can't be done without it. Since Photoshop doesn't have many good raw drawing tools, just editing stuff, I use 3D programs to render objects. Bryce3D is great because it lets you throw together some really nice scenes really fast, but for real modeling the only way to go is 3D Studio MAX. Yes, all these programs are very complicated, but you learn to use them when you have as much free time as I do. Can you say "no life"? Yeah, well, especially in past summers, I've gotten bored easily and need something to stay busy. What better activity than learning professional graphics skills? Done? Go to the graphics gallery. |
